PATLive Congratulates Employees on Certifications

Tallahassee, FL – Dec 10, 2009 - PATLive, a provider of automated and live phone call management services, recognizes two employees who have earned certifications in their professions. The Vice President of the Answering Center, Karen Stark, has earned a certification designation of Strategic Leader from CIAC (Call Center Industry Advisory Council) and Human Resources Manager, Rachel Rust, has earned her certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from the HRCI (Human Resources Certification Institute).

The requirements for Karen’s Call Center Strategic Leader Certification were to demonstrate four areas of competency (People Management, Leadership and Business Management, Customer Relationship Management, Operations Management) through extensive study and testing, a 360 job performance review, and a work product assignment. Karen explains, “The certification process was validation that I have a good foundational understanding of the unique business environment and requirements of a call center. However, all the assignments and tests challenged me to internalize that knowledge more and to really examine ways for us to mature as a department. Many aspects of call center management are part science, part art, and a big portion of good judgment. But, through the certification process, I learned ways to hone and improve the art & science portions and to make better decisions. In turn, I believe my team and department benefited.”

After gaining two years of the required HR experience, Rachel qualified to sit for the Professional in Human Resources certification test. She participated in a 2 month prep course offered through SHRM and studied for 6 – 8 hours per week for 3 months. Rachel explains, ”This experience expanded my foundation of HR knowledge and allowed me to join the growing ranks of certified HR professionals in Tallahassee. It also allowed me to apply this new-found knowledge to create a stronger HR function at PATLive.”
