Tallahassee, FL – Feb 12, 2009 - PATLive, a provider of automated and live phone call management services, has partnered with the Foundation Fighting Blindness to provide toll free numbers and answering services free of charge. Callers are responding to brochures in doctor’s offices, making donations, registering for seminars, or requesting more information on retinal degenerative diseases. President and CEO Victor D’Aurio states, “We are proud to support the foundation's efforts to find cures for diseases that affect over 10 million Americans. We hope our small contributions in some way enables finding a cure and an end to those suffering.”
Glen Davidson, PATLive’s Founder and Chairman, and his wife Sharyn also host an annual charity event at Magnolia Farm to raise money for the foundation. The last event raised over $100,000. Glen’s passion and commitment stem from a close understanding of those suffering. His wife, Sharyn, has suffered from retinitis pigmentosa since diagnosed at age 16. Sharyn also sits on the board of FIRE (Florida Institute of Rehabilitation Education for People Who Are Visually Impaired or Blind).
