PATLive employees raise money and provide labor for Habitat for Humanity house.
Tallahassee, FL - October 23, 2006 – PATLive, a provider of automated and live phone call management services, announced today that PATCares, its employee volunteer organization, had achieved its financial goal in support of a Habitat for Humanity house. Fundraising efforts for the project lasted six months and included a chili cook-off, a Super Bowl cookout, and an IT hardware auction. PATLive matched 100% of the funds raised by employees.
Employees will meet at the job site on November 18, 2006, to paint the interior of the house. According to PATCares Chairwoman Sandi Gosnell, this was the biggest and longest-lasting fundraiser taken on by PATCares. "We're not a huge company so we usually target smaller causes. What we found is that there is a real sense of satisfaction in setting a larger goal and seeing the progress achieved toward it over a period of time."
PATCares was established in 2000 to support and serve causes nominated and supported by employees. Some of the many causes supported by PATCares are Lighthouse Children’s Home, Foundation Fighting Blindness, Second Harvest Food Banks, Refuge House and The Humane Society.
