Use our number
We provide you with a toll-free or local number that connects directly to our live receptionists. If you plan to have us answer all of your calls, use this as your main business number on marketing materials, your website, etc.

Call forwarding
There are two popular call-forwarding options that are available, no answer forwarding and manual call forwarding. Both of these options must be set up through your local phone company. We still provide you with a local or toll-free number, and you forward your existing phone number to the new number we provide.

  • Busy, or no answer forwarding - Most local service providers allow calls to be forwarded to your new local or toll-free number should your line be busy or if there is no answer after a set number of rings. This is ideal if you are not available 24 hours a day and don’t want to leave unanswered calls to a machine.
  • Manual call forward - You can set a manual call forward on your phone at any time. This presents a flexible option for those who only need calls answered occasionally, or on a changing schedule.
2: Receptionist Answers

When a PATLive receptionist answers a call to your business, they are prepared to represent your specific business. We work with you to design a script that our receptionists use to answer your calls and best serve your customers.

  • Take messages - Our receptionists take down basic information such as the callers' name, number, and best time to reach them. We then assure them that you will get back to them shortly.
  • Transfer calls - If you want to give the caller the option to talk to you directly, we can transfer the call. We perform both warm and cold transfers.
